Arches & Oat

San Bruno, CA

The house was already speaking in curves — arched doorways, arched windows, black window frames — so the furniture repeats the shape instead of competing with it. A curved gray sofa, a cream bouclé round chair, a round mirror hung to answer the arch, and an oval wood dining table with curved-back chairs all echo the openings around them. Oat and gray fabrics and warm wood keep the black frames feeling graphic rather than cold. The frames, arches and white walls are the home's own; the staging simply picked its furniture to match them. The lower level was set up as a second living area, with a desk corner, a lounge, and a bed, so the extra space reads as usable rather than spare.
